The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) is united in its dedication to volunteer community service. The National Day of Service (NDS) is a day on which all of GFWC comes together in service to highlight an area of need, take action to address the need, and raise public awareness about its importance. State federations and clubs are encouraged to join in and organize community service programs (CSPs) in their communities as part of the NDS. Every two years a new topic is selected by the GFWC Executive Committee.
This year’s NDS issue of focus is to end Domestic and Sexual violence in the United States. To initiate the planning process, GFWC encourages us to reach out to local Domestic and Sexual Violence Services that specialize in serving women and children.
CWCC has committed to provide our local The Grateful Garment Project here in Campbell with items they need to help our local women and children. They anticipate heightened activity due to Santa Clara County will be hosting many events ie Superbowl 2026, and FIFA World Cup events in 2026.
